@ClareFoges Great article in the Times today on faith schools. The government (who I support by the way) are utterly wrong on this
Rod Farnan Director, Europe
Rod Farnan joined Global Integration in April 2000.
He was born in Scotland and has a degree in Biological Sciences. He loves to hill walk, cycle, plays the odd game of tennis (but won’t be presenting a threat to Rafa Nadal) and is an enthusiastic cook.
Clients have to work very hard not to come away from working with Rod both enthusiastic and motivated, happy that they have something tangible to take away to help them. Rod is seen as a trusted advisor by some very senior people. His special skill lies in taking the anxiety out of a client’s situation by demonstrating that the challenges they face are not, usually, uncommon, and helping provide the solutions.
He used to fly fixed wing aircraft and still has an abiding interest in aviation. He also has a long term interest in the presidency of JFK.
Rod is a highly energetic facilitator who consistently deals with everyone he touches with integrity and interest.
Rod Farnan: International Management Experience
Rod Farnan’s business experience prior to joining Global Integration, includes sales, marketing, including global product launches, and training in the Pharmaceutical and Healthcare sectors (both ethical and POM-P) – all at a time of intense M&A (mergers and acquisitions) activity.
He began his career selling to primary care doctors and was a Global Marketing Director based in the USA before joining Global Integration in 2000. Rod has lived in the UK and USA and operated globally, working on every continent.
Whilst, naturally, more than capable of delivering consultancy and training in all of Global Integration’s key areas of expertise, Rod particularly enjoys the challenges presented by increasingly complex and matrixed international management and the effective facilitation of groups in this arena.

We have used Rod Farnan as a trainer and coach for cross-cultural and global remote team training. The training he provides is extremely relevant, thought-provoking and aligned with our corporate values. Further, his facilitation style and availability post-course provides value in comprehension of material, ability to apply practically in the work environment and sustained workplace behavioral change for participants. Feedback from learners is consistently excellent.
Rod created an outstanding program for us which we ran for maybe two years almost on a monthly basis all over the world – the TOP Teams meetings, covering remote and virtual teams management, matrix management, cross-cultural management. Each single session was excellent! Rod is an inspiration on legs with an admirable energy, the best sense of humour you can imagine, and an amazing understanding of what a global organization’s and its culturally diverse teams’ needs are.
