Matrix Management / Virtual Teams

World Book Day

"World Book Day"

It’s World Book Day in the UK (United Kingdom) where I live, and in true cross cultural style,  the rest of the World will be celebrating on April 23rd.

This apparently has something to do with April 23 being St George’s Day – our patron saint. We don’t generally make much of a fuss over the day, but the date difference works rather well for us at Global Integration, because that gives us just over six weeks to ask you for nominations for your best business book.

We regularly run reviews on this blog, so if you’ve read something great, have a recommendation, or would simply love one of our consultants to review something, we’d like to hear about it.

If we pick your suggestion for review, we’ll send you a signed copy of Making the Matrix Work or Speed Lead by Kevan Hall, and one of our 20th birthday mugs as a thank you.

Nominations stay open until April 23. Because it helps that we already know the subject areas – and it’s easier to dedicate the time for reading and reviewing – we’re particularly interested in book recommendations relating to the things that we help people with:

  • Matrix organizations/working
  • Remote/virtual working
  • Global working
  • Networked organizations
  • Working with external partners
  • Outsourcing
  • The people/HR issues in  M&As (Mergers and acquisitions)
  • Management and Leadership
  • Workplace efficiency

(But don’t let this hold you back!)

So now it’s over to you – nominate away!
