The Five choices tool is a framework we use on our “Tools for cross-cultural success” training program. We (Global Integration) train participants to diagnose their own and others’ cultures against 5 major drivers of difference in behaviours at work using the culture abacus, then we use the five choices tool to help participants identify and work with the choices open to them in reconciling cultural differences.
For more sophisticated cross-cultural challenges we use the tool to design the journey required to create truly global policies and practices that really work locally.
This simple tool helps improve cross-cultural communication and emphasise the many options open in resolving cross-cultural challenges.
