Even before COVID-19 we spent an average of 2 days per week in meetings, today people tell us their diaries are full of meetings and nearly all of them are virtual.
Virtual meetings present some challenges in inclusivity but also bring some unique opportunities to change the way we involve, participate and engage and to break down traditional barriers to more inclusive ways of working.
Introverts and extraverts, different cultures, different genders, people from marginalised groups, and individuals working remotely all experience meetings differently and face their own challenges in participation. Nobody benefits from a meeting where individuals cannot be heard or participate in a way that works for them. Inclusive meetings are better for everyone.
