Global Integration is Recruiting For an East Coast based International Training Consultant

Global Integration is looking for an East Coast based International Trainer. We have more custom than trainers at present, are doing exceptionally well despite the economic climate and want to remain responsive to our customers.

We recently blogged about what it takes to be a Global Integration Training Consultant. If you took a peek, you’ll know that we have pretty stringent recruitment criteria:

  • a successful background at line management level in a world-class multinational company. (Without this, our consultants would lack the ability to empathise with the challenges our customers face)
  • corporate experience in a fast moving matrix or virtual working environment . (Without this, our consultants could not understand the complexities of modern business life, so simply having lived and worked abroad isn’t enough – big businesses face unique challenges)
  • have worked within international and cross-cultural teams. (Without practical experience, our consultants would rely on dry, theoretical books for understanding – and there is a lot of conflicting advice around.)
  • training level capability in English and ideally a second language, preferably Spanish. (We work all over the World, and having a second language helps trainers understand the challenges faced by people working a language that isn’t native to them)

Of course, we are also looking for someone with the qualities we’d expect of any professional training organization: strong communication and facilitation skills; university level education; practical experience in the design and delivery of training programs  (However, we’re fussy – this a PowerPoint free zone)

We’re looking for someone with a desire to work from home but able to embrace very regular international travel: we go to our customers rather than them coming to us, which can mean everything from Monday in Mexico, Tuesday in Tipperary, Wednesday in Wollongong, Thursday in Thailand and Friday in France (although perhaps not all in the same week!)

The majority of work for our newest recruit will be  delivering our training in matrix management, virtual teams and global working, both face to face and via technologies like webinar, and we will offer the trainer training in both the content and process. It’s a great role for the right person – around 90 per cent of business is repeat business and recommendation, and we pride ourselves on the relationships we develop with our customers, who expect excellence from us.

We’re all very excited: new team members bring new ideas – we can’t wait to see who joins us!

If you have the background above, please email us a copy of your resume showing how you meet these criteria for more details.
