If attention spans are getting shorter is the answer shorter training videos and tweets - or training people to pay attention for longer?
Interesting visit to the Learning Technologies exhibition in Orlando this week. Lots of ideas on digital curation of our learning materials
Interesting day at the learning technology exhibition - lot of buzz words but some good ideas too
Kevan Hall CEO, Global Integration
Kevan Hall is an acknowledged authority on the subject of how to work in complex matrix business environments and on how to manage remote and virtual teams. He founded Global Integration in 1994, and developed the world’s first virtual teams and matrix management training programs.
Today, he runs his own global organization as well as training and consulting in matrix, virtual and global working – and has to practice what he preaches.
He is a keen follower of Reading football club in the English Premier League, participates in motorsport and scuba-diving, and – fortunately – enjoys travelling.
International Management Experience
Kevan had a 14 year corporate background in trade union negotiation, international HR, manufacturing operations, EMEA sales & strategic planning, and global learning & development in the telecoms and FMCG sectors, before establishing Global Integration.
He has worked in matrix, virtual and cross-cultural organizations, lived in the UK and France and worked worldwide.
“Kevan was a great facilitator who has a wealth of knowledge on matrix working. Through a highly engaging and participative workshop, he helped our leaders to better understand how we can make our matrix organisation work more effectively.”
Kevan Hall: Books
Kevan’s first book Speed Lead – faster, simpler ways to manage people, projects and teams in complex companies was published in 2006, and serves as a practical guide to virtual and matrix working.
Organizations are getting ever more complex. Globalization, technology and scale can lead to growth and success, but they also bring dysfunctional baggage. Kevan shows how to get off the organizational ‘hamster wheel’ and focus on what is important.
