Cross-Cultural Leadership Programme
A leading energy trading company sought a practical, expert-led solution to improve cross-cultural collaboration within its multinational teams. Following a Diversity & Inclusion survey highlighting this as a key area, Global Integration developed a tailored programme to support 22 nationalities across the organisation.
The initiative addressed cultural disconnects, unconscious bias, and the complex interplay of national, organisational, and team norms. It aimed to foster inclusive leadership and provide participants with practical tools to navigate cultural diversity with confidence.
Programme Objectives:
- Build foundational cross-cultural understanding for employees
- Equip leaders to role model inclusive behaviours
- Develop a mindset for cross-cultural excellence
Programme Structure:
Our 16-week programme included design, delivery, and post-course evaluation. It began with a focused three-day design phase and stakeholder calls to shape content. Two tailored versions – one for executives/managers and one for employees – ensured relevance across all levels.
Delivery Format:
- Executive Workshop: 2-hour hybrid session(virtual/classroom)
- Leader Workshops: 3-hour face-to-face sessions in Singapore, London, Tokyo, and USA
- Global Excellence Cross-Cultural Working Channel: Moderated for ongoing engagement
- Materials: Resource Toolkit, PDF workbook, and Communication package
Results:
- 265 employees trained across key locations, globally
- 35+ hours of training delivered
- Increased Cultural Awareness and Intent to Change Behaviour – with 47.9% of participants mentioning behaviour change or increased cultural awareness in their written feedback
- Interactive and Practical Format Was Highly Valued –with 36.5% of participants specifically mentioning they valued interactive or practical elements such as group discussions, exercises, hands-on activities, or the “Abacus tool” in their written feedback
