Making remote and hybrid working sustainable in 2021

Many organisations are moving on from a year of helping people cope with the initial challenge of working from home into a period where they need to make the skills of remote and hybrid working more mainstream and sustainable for the longer term.

Most expect that working from home will be a larger part of their people’s reality, usually as part of hybrid teams who spend part of the time at home and part of the time in the office.

Many have had a positive experience of productivity and even engagement during this difficult initial period. However, there are lingering concerns about how we make this sustainable and how we deal with challenging remote issues such as establishing healthy boundaries, maintaining trust, being creative, staying visible and managing performance.
