Diwali 2013

Diwali, or Deepawali, the  Festival of Light, marks an official holiday in many countries around the World, and a celebration amongst Hindu communities in others. It’s a five day festival, and an official holiday in Fiji, Guyana, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Myanmar, Mauritius, Singapore , Suriname, and Trinidad & Tobago. This year it starts on November 3, 2013.

And secondly, but equally important, is how this affects us all in the Workplace. In 2011 we wrote some of those thoughts up in a post, which we think you’ll still enjoy – This week: Diwali.  This year we’re posting it a little earlier so that you genuinely have time to prepare – after all, five days out of a work project is a fair amount of time, and it’s very easy when you live somewhere to forget that others, elsewhere, won’t be celebrating with you.
