Rod Farnan joined Global Integration in April 2000.
He was born in Scotland and has a degree in Biological Sciences. He loves to hill walk, cycle, plays the odd game of tennis (but won’t be presenting a threat to Andy Murray) and is an enthusiastic cook.
Clients have to work very hard not to come away from working with Rod both enthusiastic and motivated, happy that they have something tangible to take away to help them. Rod is seen as a trusted advisor by some very senior people. His special skill lies in taking the anxiety out of a client’s situation by demonstrating that the challenges they face are not, usually, uncommon, and helping provide the solutions.
He used to fly fixed wing aircraft and still has an abiding interest in aviation. He also has a long term interest in the presidency of JFK.
Rod Farnan’s business experience prior to joining Global Integration, includes sales, marketing, including global product launches, and training in the Pharmaceutical sector (both ethical and POM-P) – all at a time of intense M&A (mergers and acquisitions) activity.
He began his career selling to primary care doctors and was a Global Marketing Director based in the USA before joining Global Integration in 2000. Rod has lived in the UK and USA and operated globally, working on every continent.
Whilst, naturally, more than capable of delivering consultancy and training in all of Global Integration’s key areas of expertise, Rod particularly enjoys the challenges presented by increasingly complex and matrixed international management and the effective facilitation of groups in this arena.
