Associate Consultant, Global Integration
Through a career anchored in Russia and the U.S., Dan Spatz has lived and breathed the global matrix! In addition, his work and studies have taken him throughout Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas.
Prior to joining Global Integration in 2013, Dan was actively living, breathing and teaching Global Integration’s methods and tools as an Integration Director for Mars Inc. He loves nothing more than enabling and conveying confidence in others’ abilities and inspiring them to take initiative or take charge.
By building empowered, integrated, multi-functional teams, he led and embedded a strategic deployment and operational planning program (S&OP) which underpinned Mars Russia’s results as the fastest growing and most profitable business unit in the corporation. Dan successfully integrated two major Mars business units and founded a global ‘Community of Practice’ focusing on strategic deployment practices and processes. He also drove major improvement initiatives in marketing, logistics, supply planning, customer service and procurement, all in highly matrixed environments.
Complementing his desire to engage and empower people throughout organizations, Dan loves learning about different cultures and the associated travel.
When not engaging with others professionally, he is engaging his family and raising three children with his wife, Nadia. His other interests include studying health and nutrition, staying fit and building a family owned business growing and selling fresh herbs.
Even Dan’s education was international: he holds a Master of Science in Foreign Service degree, with honors in International Business Diplomacy, from Georgetown University. As an undergraduate, he won a fellowship from the Thomas J Watson Foundation to perform anthropological studies in Nepal and Zaire.
Dan is fluent in English and Russian (and can manage conversations in French).
